Assistant Teacher/Floating Teacher

The child care assistant is responsible for helping the Lead Teacher plan and provide programs and activities which stimulate the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in a group setting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

A high school diploma or GED and the willingness to start a program to obtain a CDA within 90 days of employment and complete a CDA program or 12 credits in Early Childhood Education within 2 years.  Applicants applying for Floater positions must meet the age requirement for working with Infants and Toddlers.

Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and providing programs and activities which stimulate the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in a group setting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

An Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a Degree in another field with at least 36 credits in Early Childhood Education. A minimum of two years teaching experience in an Early Childhood or Preschool environment is preferred.

Cook

The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children and staff. Duties also include planning menus taking into account the center budget, the foods in season, local availability and state and federal nutritional requirements for children. The Cook also keeps an accurate inventory of supplies and orders replacement of supplies as needed.

Position Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  ServSafe Certification and 2 years experience is preferred.
