The Montshire is a source of wonder and discovery for all ages!
Capture this feeling in a photograph and enter it in the 1st Annual Montshire Photo Contest. One winner will be selected in each of the following categories:
1. Doing Science. The Montshire is all about hands-on science. Museum programs, events, and exhibits allow participants to actively engage in science. Photos entered in this category capture someone (or several people) “doing science.”
2. Natural History and Scientific Phenomenon. Indoors and out, the Montshire is alive. Capture your observations of plants, animals, or scientific phenomena at the Montshire (with or without people) and enter your photo in this category.
3. Favorite Places or Exhibits. Everyone has his or her own favorite exhibit or special place at the Museum. For some it’s the Bubbles, Airplay, and the Ridge Trail, for others it’s the water exhibits, or the overlook on the River Trail. Enter a photo of your favorite place or exhibit in this category.
Deadline: July 31, 2009
All entries must be taken on Montshire property.
Entry Instructions: You may submit up to two entries in each category.
Complete the entry form attached and upload your photo electronically. Submit one entry for each photo.
Photos must be less than 3mB in size and formatted as jpegs or tiffs. Both color and black & white photographs are acceptable.
Eligibility: Any Montshire member or visitor is eligible to enter. Montshire employees, members of the Montshire board of trustees, and their families are not eligible. There is no cost to participate.
Prize: The first place winner in each category will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Montshire’s Museum Store. The winning photos will be published in the Fall 2009 Montshire Newsletter and posted on www.montshire.org
