You are not required to attend in order for your student to participate. Note (FYI): IMPORTANT: Qualifiers are permitted to have THREE adults accompany them to the competition: 1 teacher/school administrator and 1 or 2 parent(s)/guardian(s). SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: If only one parent/guardian is attending, then a grandparent OR a sibling (who must be in 4th grade or older) may attend in place of the second parent/guardian. This restriction is solely due to space limitations. IMPORTANT: Siblings younger than 4th grade may not attend the competition under any circumstance. This rule is set forth by National Geographic.
